Vishnevsky National Medical Research Centre of Surgery is indisputably one of the leading medical institutions in Russia and an institution that both patients and doctors turn to in the most difficult situations, when they need highly complex consultations or surgical care with different kinds of specialists. The professional achievements of our surgeons are not only known in Russia, but also abroad.

Comorbid patients are one of the most pressing problems in modern medicine. Our centre takes a personalized multidisciplinary approach to each patient. As a result, the Vishnevsky National Medical Research Centre of Surgery has developed and introduced approaches for the simultaneous treatment of competing diseases. This approach is most often used for patients with cardiovascular diseases and cancer because they lead the way in terms of population morbidity. In this case, the first stage is the correction of cardiovascular diseases followed by radical surgery, most often on the same day.
