3, Bolshaya Sukharevskaya Square, building 22, Moscow (Flagship Centre)
Excursion time: to be approved
The excursion will take place at the Flagship Centre, which opened on 6 March 2023. The Sklifosovsky Flagship Centre is a modern part of the hospital that has become a new stage in the institute’s history. It is home to all the main patient admission services, which speeds up the process of providing medical care.
The technological concept is based on the principle of distributing patients (‘triage’) into functional zones depending on their severity (red, yellow, and green zones). The new approach reduces the movement of patients around the building as part of the ‘doctor to patient’ principle.
The Flagship Centre places a strong emphasis on the digitalization of processes: specialists work with electronic tablets that record all exam appointments in the programme. Each patient is given a special bracelet with a QR code that can be scanned using a tablet to provide specialists with medical histories. The nursing staff works with mobile workstations that are equipped with laptops and scanners to read barcodes on test tubes.
The building has more than 2,000 pieces of modern medical equipment, a helipad, and unique hybrid operating rooms.
The excursion will demonstrate key areas of the Flagship Centre that show how the staff works according to the new emergency medical care standard, as well as digital technologies.
Excursion participants must have an identity document with them.
