Flagship emergency care centre, new emergency care standard in Moscow, and a digital clinic
Functional features of the facility:
1. The technological concept is based on the principle of distributing patients from the admission department (‘triage’) by functional zones depending on their priority of care. A separate entrance is provided to admit patients coming in on their own.
2. Diagnostics and care are based on the ‘doctor to patient’ principle and all the main diagnostic equipment is located directly in the examination and intensive care unit rooms.
3. Comfortable conditions have been created for patients’ relatives to stay, as well as a family room, where people can stay in the intensive care unit round-the-clock.
4. The centre has introduced the principles of a ‘digital hospital’ with patient documents (available in the Unified Medical Information and Analytical System) being maintained exclusively in electronic form. This ensures that specialists have joint round-the-clock online access to medical data, including through the mobile devices and tablets of doctors and nurses.
5. Information about patients can also be read from a special bracelet they receive upon admission. This simplifies patient identification and speeds up the receipt of the necessary data. The automation of medical processes helps doctors focus on patients by freeing up time that was spent on maintaining paper records.
6. Thanks to digital integration with the information system of the Puchkov Ambulance and Emergency Medical Care Station, ambulance teams transmit information about the patient’s condition. The hospital assembles a team of doctors in advance of the patient’s admission and prepares an intensive care or operating room if the patient is in critical condition.
7. Inpatient doctors also have access to the patient’s medical data generated during the outpatient treatment stage.
