Excursion ‘Paediatric Oncology Achievements and Prospects’

The Durnov Research Institute of Paediatric Oncology and Haematology is a major paediatric oncology and haematology clinic that has made serious achievements in the surgical and drug treatment of children. The clinic is one of the leaders in cell therapy.

Each year, the research institute admits more than 1,200 primary patients and treats more than 8,000 patients. The clinic performs up to 200 bone marrow transplants per year and is unique for many of its technologies (organ-preserving treatment and high-dose therapy).

Itinerary: Presentation of information about the Blokhin National Medical Research Centre of Oncology and the Durnov Research Institute of Paediatric Oncology and Haematology on the 1st floor (lobby) followed by a visit to the intensive care unit (5th floor, elevator), the early childhood unit (3rd floor, elevator), and the ‘We Teach and Know’ School project, before returning to the 1st floor lobby.

Excursion participants must have an identity document with them.
