Ensuring drug security is a strategic priority of Russia’s state policy and a crucial element of its national sovereignty. As the country pursues technological leadership, it is becoming particularly important to develop a modern pharmaceutical industry architecture that both boosts domestic production levels and provides greater access to global innovations, technologies, and scientific collaboration. Addressing this challenge requires a coordinated approach to all stages of the pharmaceutical supply chain: from regulation, manufacturing, and logistics to demand forecasting, risk monitoring, and assessing accessibility to pharmaceutical care. How can we ensure there is coordination across all these stages and effectively manage the industry based on reliable data? What monitoring and rapid-response mechanisms are needed to minimize the risk of supply disruptions for critical drugs? How can demand forecasting and state procurement be structured so that manufacturers can plan their production output while patients remain confident that the drugs they need will be available?
