The business programme for the 4th National Congress with International Participation ‘National Healthcare’ can now be viewed on the official website of the event. The Congress is being held at the Russia National Centre in Moscow on 22–23 October 2025. It is being organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation, with the Russian Research Institute of Health serving as organizational partner.
“The National Healthcare Congress business programme reflects the way national projects, infrastructure management, increasing satisfaction with the quality of medical care, human capital, and digitalization are changing the industry. For the fourth consecutive year, the Congress will show off what Russia’s regions have accomplished in healthcare, and the plenary session will show how Russian medicine is transitioning to a new healthcare model that is more predictive,” Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko said.
The ‘Human Capital in the Industry’ business track consists of five sessions dedicated to issues currently affecting human resources in healthcare and the role of medical universities in staffing regional healthcare systems. Participants will discuss the programmes and actions medical universities can employ to improve staffing levels in the regions and satisfaction within the medical community and ways of uniting universities and medical practitioners, developing a model for medical education more closely suited to regional healthcare needs, and ensuring healthcare specialists are adequately trained in light of the priorities outlined in new federal projects for healthcare development.
The session ‘Digitalization and Data Management’ will include a discussion dedicated to ‘Artificial Intelligence in Real Practice’ block, which will shine a light on the digital transformation in healthcare, the way innovative AI solutions can help bring new drugs to market more quickly, and autonomous systems in clinical practice. Discussion will also touch on the digital divide separating the different generations of specialists, with special attention to support programmes for doctors requiring help with modern technologies.
Three business programme sessions have been dedicated to healthy eating, with best regional practices and strategies for harmonizing approaches to the regulation of nutrition to be presented during the Congress as experts discuss how technology is expected to transform the way we eat by 2030.
Once a matter of personal choice, healthy eating has become a matter of significant importance to public health policy. The things we eat provide us with the energy, vitamins, and nutrients we need to be healthy. If we want to manage our weight, prevent chronic non-communicable diseases, and live longer, we must maintain a healthy lifestyle. Interest in nutrition has grown significantly in recent years, a fact reflected in the science-based recommendations now helping us develop healthier eating habits. The country’s regions play an important role in helping implement the state policy intended to build a high-quality nutrition system, support local producers, and promote healthy living initiatives.
Congress participants will also check in on how federal projects are getting along during the sessions ‘Heart of the Nation 2.0’, ‘Winning Time: New Opportunities in Oncology’, ‘The Future of Rehabilitation: From Recovery to Improving Quality of Life’, and ‘Fighting for Our Health: Obesity Throwing Down the Gauntlet to Global Healthcare’, among others.
The expert discussions scheduled as part of the National Healthcare Congress business programme will be complemented by two plenary sessions: ‘The New 2040 Healthcare Model: From Reactive to Proactive’ and ‘Food Matters: Why our Diet is a Matter of National Importance’.
