Innovations in healthcare in recent years are taking modern medicine to a more high-tech level. Achievements in surgery, pharmacology, and medical science as a whole are creating increasingly high demands for the organization, methodology, and technological modernization of medical rehabilitation. The latest scientific and engineering achievements are being regularly used in the introduction of new treatment and diagnostic methods and rehabilitation equipment – from complex medical equipment to compact mobile home devices – and significantly increasing their effectiveness. In addition, the widespread use of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and other advanced technologies in rehabilitation greatly increase the capabilities of rehabilitation specialists when helping patients recover. There is currently an emphasis on creating individual rehabilitation programmes based on the results of a thorough diagnosis of patients, taking into account their individual needs, age, and concomitant diseases. What is the best way to help people who have experienced injuries return to a full life? What inclusive and innovative technologies in rehabilitation help people with disabilities integrate into society? Why is an interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation the key to successful recovery?
