The implementation of the ‘Combatting Cancer’ federal project has demonstrated undeniable successes and results in terms of modernizing medical care for cancer patients. Thanks to improvements in the regulatory framework, the optimization of patient routing processes, the installation of modern equipment at healthcare institutions, the development of telemedicine, and the increased availability of innovative drugs, these achievements have been able to strengthen the national healthcare system’s position in combatting the most common types of cancer, including breast cancer, the most prevalent type of cancer among women, who are contracting the disease at much younger ages these days. However, the rapid development of medical technologies, cancer surgery, and breakthrough capabilities in personalized drug therapy today make it possible to achieve high rates of treatment effectiveness and a patient survival rate of up to 80-98%, provided that the disease is detected early or before symptoms appear, and that the patients undergo high-quality rehabilitation and commit to a healthy lifestyle. Cancer awareness, systematic prevention, and diagnostics contribute to the timely detection of breast cancer and its successful treatment while ensuring that patients who have undergone therapy maintain a high quality of life. What are some of the key factors for reducing the risk of breast cancer and what preventive measures could significantly reduce these risks? What new practices exist today for screening and ensuring the early diagnosis of breast cancer? What breakthrough technologies help to make disease therapy effective today and what can we expect in the near future? What practices of control during the post-operative period reduce the risk of relapse? What programmes are successfully being implemented today to raise public awareness about the first signs of diseases and the need for timely medical examinations?
